With regular bookings in venues such as Adelaide Convention Centre, Chateau Tanunda and Regattas Bistro, Rich Batsford performs across the state of South Australia and beyond, presenting music that’s relaxing, beautiful and very easy to enjoy.

A very experienced musician, Rich has been performing solo piano professionally for over a decade as well as playing previously in charting pop bands and singing in the chorus of a major Symphony Orchestra.

For his corporate, events, weddings and functions performances, Rich has created Classically Chilled piano, artfully honed sets of up to four hours featuring carefully selected Standards, Classical, TV and Film Themes, Jazz, Sixties and Classic Pop.

Uniquely, Rich also features a number of his beautiful and enjoyable original compositions combining years of classical training with an accessible contemporary flavor, they have begun to enter the national consciousness following frequent airings on ABC Classic FM.

Key performances include the UK’s Big Chill and Gigbeth Festivals, the Edinburgh and Melbourne Fringes and a very successful run at the Adelaide Fringe (rated Outstanding Show by Fringe Review) with sell outs in the beautiful and iconic venue of Ayers House.

Don’t worry if your venue doesn't have a piano on site, Rich also plays a portable and independently powered Roland FP4 digital piano with a wonderful sound, and amplification.

Im completely self sufficient, as I use a digital piano. If power is available that is preferred. If you really want to splash out, you can even hire in a Grand Piano from Brighton Pianos.
